OSHA Forklift Operator Training / Certification Requirements

Federal OSHA standard 1910.178(l) requires all powered industrial truck (PIT) operators receive a combination of formal instruction (which may include classroom instruction and/or interactive computer learning), practical demonstrations performed by the employer to include practical exercises performed by the operator trainee, and evaluation of the operator's performance in the workplace. This online course is intended to provide online classroom style training, testing, and certification, and must be supplemented with all necessary hands-on training and operator evaluation required by OSHA to be conducted on-site by the employer.
